Welcome! This is the beginning of a new adventure for me. I started off into this whole eBay thing wanting to stay completely under the radar and not really wanting to develop a "name" in the business. Well I guess I didn't get what I wanted there. The success that I've been able to have on eBay has translated into some very nice people wanting to take the time and get to know me and how I operate.
On Dec. 3rd I was attending a marketing conference in Orlando, FL and managed to meet some very interesting people. One of the people who helped me get started on eBay, though she didn't know it at the time, was Sydney Johnston. You may recognize Sydney as the "Auction Queen" and if you aren't familiar with her you should go to her website, Auction Know How, and read everything.
Well, while I was attending this conference Sydney and I became fast friends. We found we had a lot in common outside of eBay as well (a story for another day). But I think what fascinated Sydney the most, even though I've turned my eBay business into a great success, is the fact that I'm teaching my two children, Sarah and Josh, to do the same thing.
You can read Sydney's take on meeting me either in her e-zine (which you should subscribe to) or her blog (which you should read regularly). Also,be sure to look to the left side of this page under "eBay Resources" for a link to her Auction Genius Course.
Thanks to Sydney, my "name" is now "out there", so to speak in the eBay community. And I'm very appreciative of her and our friendship.
So from now on when it come's to eBay and internet marketing I have a new name - Tiger Todd. I'm sure you'll be hearing more about the way I do things on eBay in the near future.
Be sure to stay upated - in the very near future (Monday) I will be interviewed by Chris Malta of World Wide Brands on the Common Sense Internet Radio Show and my new website, www.onlineauctionmastery.com will hopefully go live soon!
Tiger Todd
Hi Todd:
Sidney had mentioned your success after returning from Orlando. She never mentioned your name (just being discreet I guess :))
but I was very impressed with her report.
Today I just happen to be looking over some of Chris Malta's internet radio interviews and put two and two together and assumed that you were the person Sidney had mentioned.
I noticed that you had a link to James Martell. Have you had success following his advice?
By the way a book that I recently recommended to Sidney is Ebay Strategies by Scott Wingo. You might enjoy it. If you read it let me know what you think of his ideas.
Much success in 2005.
Bruce
